Ginger Mint is a fragrant, aromatic herb from the Mentha genus, known for its refreshing flavor and cooling sensation, used in culinary dishes, teas, and remedies for digestion, and commonly found as spearmint and peppermint. It's easily grown but can spread aggressively, and its leaves are used fresh, dried, or as essential oils in products like toothpaste, gum, and cocktails.

Ginger mint is a hardy, fast-growing plant that thrives in USDA zones 5–9.

  • Light: Prefers full sun to partial shade.

  • Water: Requires consistently moist soil; it does not tolerate drying out.

  • Containment: Like most mints, it is invasive and spreads via underground rhizomes. It is highly recommended to plant it in containers or buried pots to control its spread.

  • Maintenance: Regularly trim older woody stems to encourage fresh growth. Cut the plant back to the ground in late fall to prepare for winter.
